Market

Trading between players · gold and Crystals

Beta 0.7.2

Players sell gear, materials, gems, scrolls, potions and riftstones to each other for gold or Crystals. The market needs the online mode and a rune from the Codex.

Server-side: every listing, price, sale and price history lives on the game server, and the server can change both fees (up to 50% each) through its price table. The fees here are the client's defaults; check them in the live game.

Listings

A listing is a fixed price or an auction. Gold listings pay a fee when posted, by format and duration; Crystal listings pay none:

FormatDurationListing fee (gold listings)
Fixed price72 h1%
Fixed price168 h3%
Auction24 h1%
Auction48 h3%
Auction72 h5%

Fixed-price stacks are priced per unit. An auction can have a buyout price, which must be above the starting bid.

Fees

Gold listings pay the listing fee when you post, and every sale pays a 10% sale fee. Both are rounded up, and at least 1:

listing fee = max(1, ceil(price × rate))
sale fee = max(1, ceil(price × 0.1))
seller receives = price − sale fee
300Listing fee
1,000Sale fee
9,000Seller receives
8,700After both fees

Gold for a fixed-price listing of 10,000 gold over 168 hours. On a fixed-price stack the listing fee is on the price times the quantity.

Buying and orders

Orders are paid in gold up front, up to 1,000,000,000 gold. Each kind has a minimum:

OrderMinimum
Buy an item3 gold
Bid on an auction3 gold
Send gold to a house code2 gold
Make an offer through a house code3 gold

The client only checks gold amounts. How buying with Crystals is settled happens on the server.

Opening the market

  1. 1
Play onlineThe market only exists in online mode.
  2. 2
Buy the Rune of Trade It needs a hero at level 20, the Rune of Fortune II and 55,000 gold, a fixed price with no discount.
  3. 3
Trade through houses The same rune lets you send gold to a house code and make offers for items on display in someone's house.

External market

Online, items and stacks can be moved out to an external market, up to 100 units at a time, and brought back later into the bag (or the stash if the bag is full):

ItemsMythic, Legendary or Eternal, exactly on an item-level step, enhanced +0 to +10, with no socketed gem, no enchantment and no soulbinding. Crafted items lose their maker's mark when moved.
StacksMaterials, gems, potions and stat scrolls. Riftstones cannot move.

The client does not name this market. Its item codes share one numbering with the Crystal packs bought through Steam and the Circle pieces, so it is most likely the Steam inventory, but that is not confirmed.
